This is Amendment #1 for Solicitation Q1300100043 to incorporate the following questions and answers. The Quote Due date has been extended to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. All other Terms and Conditions remain unchanged. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Question 1: What Species of Pine does the Government expect? Answer 1: Yellow Pine.Question 2: What type of treatment is acceptable? Answer 2: Non arsenic varieties such as ACQ or ACWQuestion 3: When the Government says Rough on the 4" x 6" x 12' lumber is the Government requiring full size rough sawn? Answer 3: Correct rough sawn full dimension lumber. Question 4: On the 2" x 6" x 14" and 2" x 4" x 8' is that S4S (smooth 4 sides and at 1 " thick by 3 " & 5 ")?Answer 4: Correct S4S is what the Government is requiring. Question 5: Specifically what was the grade required for the material and the level of treatment. Is it suppose to be above ground contact or ground contact?Answer 5: Ground Contact Treatment will be required for rough cut 4x4 lumber. 2 x 6 and 2 x 4 can be above ground contact. Grade #2 or better.
