Background The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) requires a production model mobile Avian Radar System (ARS), capable of transport among various remote locations throughout the Great Lakes region that is field-tested for durability and safety. The ARS proposed will be production model technology of similar design as specified in this requirement to include dual simultaneous horizontal S-band and vertical S-band scanning radars with a minimum of 10 reference systems currently installed and operating continuously in bird detection and tracking applications at wind farms with a minimum of three (3) systems using solid state S-band radar as specified herein. The reference systems must be complete systems that were manufactured and assembled by the Vendor in the Vendor's factory. Prototype, research and development systems, and non-production model systems or technologies will not be accepted. The vendor will provide project summaries of sufficient length with the proposal documenting the above experience requirement to include the reference installation customer's name, address, point of contact, email address and telephone number.
