R--Collection of biological samples from hunter harvested birds for avian influenza sampling

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Servicem Region 7, intends to award a sole source procurement toKawerak, Inc., to collect approximately 1,000 biological samples from remote villages throughout the Seward Peninsula of Alaska. These samples will be collected from hunter harvested migratory birds by using proper safety precautions, collection of necessary data along with the samples, ensure that the samples are stored properly until shipping and these samples will be collected by personnel that can answer human health questions related to avian influenze. This notice of intent is not a request for competitively proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 days after pyblication of this notice.
