R--Collection of biological samples from nest-survival of shorebirds and passerines for avian influenza sampling

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7, intends to award a sole source procurement to Wildlife Conservation Society, to conduct a nest-survival study for shorebirds and passerines at the Prudhoe Bay Oil Field from late May through early July, 2006, for avian influenza surveillance. Collection of samples from high-priority species and others will be done at the same time of the study. These samples will collected using proper safety precautions and stored properly until shipping can occur. This notice of intent is not a request for competitvely proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 days after publication of this notice.
