R--Collection of biological samples live-caught birds for Avian Influenza monitoring

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7, intends to award a sole source procurement to Institute of Bird Populations, to capture a sample of up to 50 Eastern Yellow Wagtails off the road system on the Seward Peninsula and up to 210 Arctic Warblers in Nome, Dillingham, and Central Brooks Range. Additional species maybe collected in connection to this work. These samples will be collected using protocols of the National Wildlife Health Center to protect the personnel collecting the samples, and to collect, store and ship samples. This notice of intent is not a request for competitively proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. See numbered note 22.
