R--Collection of biological samples from live-caught birds for Avian Influenza monitoring

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7, intends to award a sole source procurement to Kansas State University, to capture and sample of up to 100 Buff-Breasted Sandpipers and 100 Pectoral Sandpipers at up to six different sampling areas in Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Nebraska. These samples will be collected using protocols of the National Wildlife Health Center to protect the personnel collecting the samples, and to collect, store and ship samples. This notice of intent is not a request for competitively proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. See numbered note 22.
