The contractor will serve as an appraiser and realty specialist for OSM providing service to Pittsburgh and Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania Offices. Major duties: preparation and/or review of appraisals, performance of field inspections of appraisal activities, preparation of paperwork necessary for negotitating appraisal contracts, conduct negotiations with landowners and other entities, investigate and interpret land titles records, resolves problems and other realty related assignements. Requirements: The contractors should have knowledge of the practical applications of the principles and practices of real estate operations in the Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) programs, real estate law in those states served by OSM Appalachian Region, lien statues and local implementation, producing assessment documents, apprasing eastern United Sttes real and personal property, knowledge of all tyes of real estate contracts The contractor is on call and shall respond within 24 hours. Work schedule Monday through Friday approximate total hours per week will range from 16 to 32 hours per based upon approval from the government.
