In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5, this synopsis is posted for the United States Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), Southern Administrative Service Center Acquisition Activity, for this procurement. This synopsis is to announce the Governments intent to award a sole source contract with two (2) option years to BARCO Inc., in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agencys requirements. (BOEMRE) Acquisition Activity anticipates awarding a base contract with two (2) option years to BARCO Inc. to provide a service contract for the visualization system at the following location: Elmwood Tower Facility The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333319, visualization system services with a small business standard size of 500. The anticipated total value of this procurement is estimated to be approximately $149,000. Anticipated award date is no later than 30 July 2011. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
