R--R--Sole Source Procurement to provide lifeguards for ocean beaches at Bodie Island and Hatteras Island, N.C.

The National Park Service under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 13, Subpart 13.106-1 (b) contemplates issuing a sole source firm fixed-price (FFP) contract to Sanduski, LLC, Kill Devil Hills, N.C. for lifeguarding ocean beaches within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within five days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award is anticipated on or about May 17, 2004.
