Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to The Portico Group, 217 Pine Street, Second Floor, Seattle, Washington 98101-1500. The Portico Group will provide design documents and construction documents for the proposed Mary Lowell Center in Seward, Alaska. Under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), the value of the contract is expected to be over $1,000,000. The National Park Service previously solicited (N9917020052) an architect firm for all design work and construction documentation for the proposed multi-agency center in Seward through full and open competition. The Portico Group was selected as a result of that solicitation. The Portico Group has previously been awarded two contracts, one for site investigation (C9917030039) and the other for concept and schematic design work (C9917040027), as a result of its previous selection. The National Park Service now intends to complete the design work for the Mary Lowell Center by awarding The Portico Group a contract for the final design and construction documents. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This service will be procured under Firm Fixed Price Service in accordance with FAR 37 procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1.
