V--Helicopter Services in Saipan to move equipment and personnel between islands for up to 50 flight hours.

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Micronesian Aviation Corporation (dba Americopters), AS Gonno Rd., Koblerville, Saipan 96950-1160 under NAICS: 481111, between $25,000 and $100,000, for purchase of the following services: Helicopter will be on call for four months of the project duration to move equipment and personnel to and from Aguiguan Island and Saipan/Tinian as needed. It is anticipated that there will be at least two sling load operations associated with this project. The first to sling equipment from a ship onto the island, and again at the end of the project to remove equipment off the island. The helicopter will also respond to any emergency situations on island that will require the evacuation of personnel. . This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no challenges to acquire these items are received by 9:00 am, PST, 30 May 2008, the government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
