59--Notice of intent to sole source for the supply and delivery of Water Sondes to the National Park Service, Alaska.

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to YSI Incorporated, 1700 Brannum Lane, Yellow Springs, OH 45387-1107. YSI Incorporated will supply water quality monitoring sondes for the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve and Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, Alaska. (See General Description below). Under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), the value of the contract is expected to be less than $30,000.00. The National Park Service (NPS), Alaska Regional Office requires three (3) each 600QS Multi-parameter sonde systems, three (3) each Rox Optical oxygen sensors, three (3) each Multi-parameter water quality loggers, three (3) each pH field replaceable 6-series probe kits, three (3) each Turbidity Probes, and one (1) each 8 foot of cable. The National Park Service (NPS) requires the purchase of this particular brand of sondes because of compatibility with the sondes already used in existing water quality monitoring research program in the Alaska Region, National Park Service. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This supply will be procured under Firm Fixed Price Supply in accordance with FAR 12 procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1.
