Notice of Intebt to award sole source procurement to Giltner Trucking, LLC / 45S, 200E / Jerome / Idaho (ID) / 83338. Giltner Trucking is located within 35 miles of the Hagerman National Fish Hatchery (Hatchery). They have over 50 years of experience of hauling stainless tanker units (milk trucks) that are similar to the Service-owned stainless steel fish hauling tanker. Because of their fleet size and proximity to the large dairy industry in southern Idaho, Giltner Trucking expanded into the field of tanker repair in 2004. At that time several of their technicians were sent to Brenner Tank Services, LLC, in Wisconsin for tanker repair training. Giltner Trucking has the capability to address minor repairs to complete overhauls. NAICS 811121, PSC J023. The Hatchery has previous experience with Giltner Trucking under performance of similar work for one tanker. Giltners price was determined to be fair and reasonable when compared to other vendors providing similar services. The Service now wishes to complete repairs for the remaining tankers with the same vendor to assure continuity within the fleet. Point of contact is Lorrie Gleghorn at [email protected]. Pursuant of FAR 6-302-1 " Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements," the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source order for repair maintanence of tanker trailers. This is a recurring requirement. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will not permit outside vendors to submit quotes in response to this notice of award. This is a not a solicitation for quotations , but rather a notice of intend to make a sole source award to Giltner Trucking Repair. There will be no solicitation issued or available.
