R--Sole source for consulting on reissuance of special use permit within the Park for a local utility company.

The National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with MRW & Associates, Inc. for the continuation of consulting services on a single subject mater dealing with the reissuance of a special use permit within the Park with a local utilities company. MRW & Associates completed the analysis and generated the reports from a previous competed contract. They have proprietary knowledge of the analysis methodology and statistical data gathering process used to develop these reports. This procurement is in accordance to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest, Proposals or Quotations. A determination by the Park Service not to open this requirement to competition is solely within the discretion of the Park Service in consideration of what is in the best interest of the Government. The Park Service intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order within 14 days of this announcement. The magnitude of this award will be between $25,000 and $100,000 and the NAICS Code is 541618.
