Prepare topographic and planimetric maps from previously obtained ortho photo imagery of the Betatakin. Sole Source Announcement

The Department of Interior, National Parks Service, AZ MABO Office, 1824 S. Thompson Street, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with Western Mapping Company of Tucson, Arizona to prepare topographic and planimetric maps from previously obtained ortho photo imagery; provide analysis and associated reports. Negotiations will be conducted pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, which allows for negotiation without full and open competition if there is only one or a limited number responsible sources. The government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. The basis for this determination is the estimated significant costs for duplication of resources, including time. Western Mapping Company already has much of this data on file from previous work at the Park, and duplication of cost to the Government is not expected to be recovered through the competitive process. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties may identify their capability to perform such services by submitting documentation to [email protected] at the office identified above. Documentation must be received within 45 calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. NOTE: A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be used for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement, and to obtain potential sources for future procurements of similar nature.
