Recovery Act Action:Design, provide and install a photovoltaic hybrid generator system for Crystal Cave.

Recovery: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to the Contractor awarded in the initial contract award under P8564090016 that replaced the electrical infrastructure system that was destroyed by fire with a backup generator system. The National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with Nextegen Energy Systems to design, provide and install a photovoltaic generator system for Crystal Cave visitors attraction. This procurement is in accordance to FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. This notice of intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest, Proposals or Quotations. A determination by the Park Service not to open this requirement to competition is solely within the discretion of the Park Service in consideration of what is in the best interest of the Government. The Park Service intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order within 14 days of this announcement.
