This opportunity is available only to Architect-Engineers awarded contracts under Solicitation No. NC2000071200 (Contract No. C2000071200, Wiss Janney Elstner Associates). The selected Architect-Engineer firm shall provide contract inspection services for an elevator rehabilitation project at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. The rehabilitation project is for the repair and modernization of the existing 1936 Otis Elevator used to transport approximately 200,000 visitors annually to the top of the Monument at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. The elevator was originally installed in 1918 and most of its components remain in their original condition. Over it's nearly 90 year operating life, only a few major components have been replaced. This project would correct elevator deficiencies and modernize the motion and logic controls, the power conversion units, the selector system, the over speed safety devices, the counterweight frame and sub weights, door suspension equipment, and wiring and conductors.
