THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES/PROPOSALS OR AN INVITATION TO BID. This Special Notice is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a Sole Source Procurement to The Nature Conservancy, in the amount of $28,346.74 for the completion of a study entitled "Mid Atlantic Highland Actions Program Abandoned Mined Lands (AML) Prioritization for Inventory and Reclamation in the Clinch-Powell River Watersheds." The Nature Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit with 20 years of experience in providing natural resource preservation planning and implementation in the Clinch and Powell River watersheds. The purpose and objective of this project is to work together with VA Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy and under a joint two year effort to identify, assess, and prioritize environmentally-degraded AML features for reclamation in the Clinch-Powell watersheds. This Sole Source procurement is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6.302-3, "Industrial Mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services".
