RECOVERY TAS::14 1041::TAS CHOH PMIS # 125585American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 Funded Project THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT IS BEING ISSUED TO INCORPORATE RECOVERY ACT REPORTING INFORMATION FOR CONTRACT AWARD. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The aqueduct rehabilitation and will include construction of new cast-in-place concrete pier, strengthening of an existing stone pier using grout injection techniques, scour repair of existing pier footings, construction of structural cast-in-place reinforced concrete arches, and re-setting of historic and newly cut stone. Much of the stone lost in the collapse has been recovered. This includes ring and wall stone. The stone is dressed and faced cut stone. Stone not recovered has been mapped and detailed and will need to be purchased by the contractor and cut to specific dimensions provided in the contract documents. Once arches and walls have been re-built, concrete fill will be placed within the prism up to the walking surface. New steel railing will be installed and a cast-in-place cantilever retaining wall will be constructed in the stream bed. Finally, upon completion, the Contractor will remove the temporary steel bridge. All work will be performed under a single contract.
