RECOVERY VEGITATION MITIGATION MONITORING SERVICES FOR THE "REPLACE TWO FAILING PLUGS (DAMS) AT CAPE SABLE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT PMIS# 152464 TAS::14 1041::TAS NAICS CODE 541620. THIS TASK ORDER WILL BE FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) AND IS SUBJECT TO THE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity was only available to contractors awarded contracts under U.S. Fish & W ildlife Solicitation No. 98210AD007 (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Architect-Engineer Services for the Dam Program for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services for projects at various locations throughout the United States): Contract No. 98210AD007 with URS Corp., Contract No. 98210AD008 with Gannett Fleming, Inc., and Contract No. 98210AD011 with W. W. Wheeler & Associates. URS was selected based on superior qualifications and selection factors as outlined in the IDIQ contract and FAR Part 36. In addition, the firm's familiarity with the monitoring permit will benefit the project, since they completed the permits and developed the criteria for monitoring. Additionally, URS is completing the Title III services for this project and will be onsite to begin the vegetation monitoring. Use of this firm utilizes past experience and work to the advantage of the Government. The selected firm will provide all the labor, equipment, and supplies required to satisfy the requirement for Vegetation Mitigation Monitoring Services during the post construction phase of the project for Restoration of East Cape and Homestead Canal Plugs located in Everglades National Park, Florida.
