Description

ABS is to conduct required inspections as required by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in 46 CFR 90.10-35 and 90.35 for vessel classification. Federally owned vessels must be classed by ABS per 46 USC, subtitle II, Part B, 46 CFR 42.07-35, Chapter 33 - Inspections Generally, Sec. 3316. Inspections are required on a rotating schedule from one to five years depending on type inspection.
