28 -- Overhaul Engine Parts

This sources sought notice is issued for the purpose of identifying sources for the purchase of various parts for the overhaul of the PAXMAN VALENTA model 16RP200M diesel engines. All interested parties shall complete the Market Research Questionnaire posted to this sources sought announcement. Responses to this notice the question shall be submitted to Kathy Brown at [email protected] . It is the Government’s intent to categorize all known engine parts as “critical,” or “non critical”. All engine parts categorized as “critical” shall be awarded to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Man B&W Diesel, Inc. All other engine parts categorized as “non critical” will be awarded to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Man B&W Diesel, Inc or their authorized distributors that can provide certification that the parts sold are genuine OEM parts or to a supplier that has previously supplies engine parts to the Government for the overhaul of the PAXMAN VALENTA Model 16RP200M Diesel Engines. Interested sources shall provide a sample complete documentations showing that the parts they are capable of providing conform to the specifications for PAXMAN VALENTA Model 16RP200M Diesel Engines. The contractor shall be able to provide certification of Genuine OEM parts or conformance for each part delivered to the Coast Guard. The government reserves the right to categorize the engine parts as “critical” or “non critical”. Delivery should be FOB Destination.
