Q -- Non-personal Optometrist Services

The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp, 110 Raby Avenue, Bldg #2440, Saufley Field, Pensacola, Florida is soliciting non-personal Optometry services for the inmates incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp. The contractors employees to perfor the services must possess a valid and current license to practice optometry in the state of Florida and be Board Certified. Prospective employees of the contractor must have a minimum of two (2) years experience an an Optometrist and meet all Security Requirements as outlined in the solicitation. Ther anticipated period of performance is from date of award thru September 30, 2003 for a base year with one (1) option year. The work schedule will normally consist of two (2) sessions per day Tuesday and Thursday, with a session defined as two (2) hours in length. Services shall be performed between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. CST. The contract for providing services will be considered a contractual agreement and not a personnel appointment. Payment shall be based on the provision of an end product or the accomplishment of a specific result. Contractor shall not be subject to government supervision.
