United States Department of Agriculture, Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) has a requirement for T-REX ICF Catalog Backup and Recovery Software and Maintenance. This is a request for quotes from authorized resellers that have the capability to provide this software and maintenance. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified Acquisition Procedures are being utilized for this requirement. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is IASREQ-915694. All respondents are required to supply their Authorized Reseller contract number and documentation as part of their quotation. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210, Software Publishers and the applicable Clauses and Provisions are attached. USDA DISC plans to award to DINO SOFTWARE, 1912 Earldale Court, Alexandria, VA 22306. T-REX ICF products are only available from DINO Software and they possesses the proprietary ability to provide new versions/releases of the software, software revisions, and software updates and corrections. SCOPE: The contractor shall deliver and provide software maintenance and technical support in accordance with the requirements identified in this RFQ. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: Vendor shall provide software meeting the requirements identifiedmbelow: 1. The software vendor must provide T-REX ICF Catalog Recovery software tools under this contract. 2. The software backs up all BCS (Basic Catalog Structures) with a single command. 3. The backup of ICF structures can be forward recovered if an ICF Catalog is broken using current SMF data to roll catalog updates to current recovery. 4. A reorganization of an ICF Catalog is dynamic and doesn't require an outage to the systems. 5. DISC currently utilizes T-REX Catalog Recovery software to perform maintenance on ICF Catalogs. 6. An updated MERGECAT process is used by this software. 7. The software provides an easy mechanism to build new ICF catalogs for update to Z/OS Operating system software. 8. The catalog software is expected to be able to allow this process to be completed in a two to three-hour timeframe. 508 COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: The Government is required to determine if the acquisition meets 508 compliance requirements.
