Y -- Holbrook Creek Trail No. 131 & Bartlett Creek Trail No. 129 on the Flathead National Forest

The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Proposals for the construction/reconstruction of the Holbrook Creek Trail No. 131 and the Bartlett Creek Trail No. 129 on the Spotted Bear Ranger District, Powell County, Montana. Project consists of segments of construction and reconstruction work along 6.3 miles of trail including clearing and grubbing, tread construction and reconstruction, switchbacks, waterbars, drain dips, check dams, shallow stream fords, ditches, turnpike construction and repair, and culverts. Some rock blasting will be necessary. The project is located within the Bob Marshall Wilderness; therefore, no wheeled or motorized equipment shall be allowed except for single-wheeled, non-motorized wheelbarrows. Issue date, approximately July 2, 2003. Completion date, September 10, 2005, with an estimated Notice to Proceed date of June 1, 2004. The Government price estimate range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Funds are not currently available for award this Fiscal Year which ends in September 2003. Award is anticipated in October or November 2003 (the beginning of Fiscal Year 2004).
