D -- AUTOMATED TIME CLOCK SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

The USDA, National Finance Center (NFC) intends to issue a sole source award to inFront Device & Systems, LLC. For software maintenance in support its automated time clock system. This is sole source procurement because of the proprietary nature of the software utilized in this system. No solicitation is available. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Period of performance is October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, with the option to extend services for an additional four years. This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is based on previous responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
