NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE – Maintenance Agreement WRRC for Bruker Scientific MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. USDA/ARS/WRRC in Albany, CA intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with Bruker Scientific, LLC, 40 Manning Road, Billerica, MA 01821 for a maintenance agreement, Complete UltrafleXtreme ,for a MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer. The requirement is for a 12-month service contract that mush provide the following: Must provide on-site response within three to five (3-5) business days, Monday – Friday, 8:3- to 5pm. Must provide one planned maintenance visit per year with complete inspection of listed instrumentation. Must provide unlimited onsite emergency service visits. Must include parts, labor and travel. Must include software upgraded (Bruker proprietary software only). All work must be performed by Bruker OEM factory-certified Field Support Engineers. The Sole Source Determination is based on FAR 6.302-1-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can fully meet the government’s requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the buyer via email

Such documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the government.
