Notice of Intent for Sole Source procurement - Merrick & Company MARS Production Software

Notice of intent for a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) and Other Than Full and Open competition (FAR 6.302-1). A solicitation will not be issued -- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1, the Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Merrick & Company for MARS Production Software suite. The Government believes Merrick & Company is the only source that will satisfy the agency requirements; sole source justification and approval is attached to this notice. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this sole source notice and justification is not required.
