Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement for DSW-700 support/maintenance

Notice of intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price procurement under FAR Part 12.203 to Leica Geoystems Inc. to provide software/hardware maintenance support on two DSW-700 Digital Scanning Workstations. The contractor is to provide all support on both DSW-700 workstations from date of award through 30 Sep 2012. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), the Government will negotiate directly with Leica Geosystems Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $19 million.
