Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Online Law Enforcement Training to Washington State University

The purpose of this contract is to pilot test a newly drafted an online, multimedia, interactive training program for law enforcement officers and their employers to relay the risks linked to shift work and long work hours and to give workplace strategies for employers and personal strategies for the officers to reduce the risks. The training will reside on the NIOSH website. The development of the training program involves several steps to create training that fits law enforcement and is readily taken up by them. The work of this contract will involve analyzing the data from a pilot test of the training program using 60 law enforcement officers, using the results to identify ways to improve the training program, and disseminating the training and study findings.
