The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources that currently possess the expertise, capabilities and experience necessary to meet the agency's requirement and to receive feedback from interested commercial sources as to the work to be performed for the repairs to the TEXAS CLIPPER, a training ship for Texas A&M University in Galveston, TX. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The government will not reimburse any contractor for any costs incurred as a result of participation in this survey and participation may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the resulting solicitation. The information provided will aid in the development of the procurement strategy for this requirement. This is a new requirement. The ship is presently located in Galveston, Texas. Move UNREP (Underway replenishment) equipment fwd and amidships. 2. Remove UNREP equipment aft. 3. Remove HP Air Receivers. 4. Overhaul number 4 SSDG (ship's service diesel generator). 5. Replace mechanical seal sludge pump. 6. Replace mechanical seal #3 salt water pump. 7. Install main engine jacket water heaters. 8. Insert aft peak tank top. 9.
