Notice of Intent to Single Source: MSDS Online Services for the Federal Aviation Administration

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center proposes to acquire software services from MSDS Online. The acquisition will utilize single-source procedures. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System, AMS 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source when it is determined to be in the best interest of the FAA. This announcement is for informational purposes only and is not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to MSDS Online and is not available for full and open competition Due to required features readily available. After conducting market research of multiple providers, the FAA found other providers with similar functions. However, no other single point application met the required interactive capabilities and did not comply with the specific CFR Parts 135/145, Flight Program documents for environmental and occupational needs, and other requirements.
