The requirement is for the purchase of OPEX Falcon High Speed Scanner and Software. OPEX has developed and owns the propriety and patented software (OPEX Certain Scan) that is used in the scanners and support the services required. It is important that the evidence scanned shows what it looked like in its original state prior to chemical processing by the laboratory. These scanners also eliminate the need to prep the documents for scanning, thus significantly increasing the number of documents scanned. The proposed procurement is made under the authority granted under FAR 13.106-1(b) Brand Name Sole Source Justification for Acquisition at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The NAICS code is 334118. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualification to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but not later than 10:00 (CST) on September 17, 2021. Any such statement of capabilities and qualification received by the deadline will be evaluated solely or for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
