A--Modification of 64 Channel Source Receiver Array Bottom Moored Deployment

C & M Technology, Inc. of Old Saybrook, CT is developing and manufacturing a one-of-a-kind, complex 64 channel source-reciver array for the Naval Research Laboratory under Contract N00173-01-C-2052. This modification will add a capability for bottom-moored deployment. It involves an Istrumented Pressure Vessel (IPV), an umbilical cable, and a power supply. There will be options for(1) fiber optic telemetry to implement a full duplex, real-time optical telemetry link between the deployed IPV and the shipboard (or Surface Telemetry Buoy) receive computers and (2) a 64-channel Data Acquisition Unit electronic chassis to digitize acoustic data from the array. As a developer and manufacturer of this complex item, C & M Technology is the only source that can satisfy this requirement. This is not a soliciation, and no Request for Proposals will be issued. Numbered Note 26 applies.
