The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst plans to issue SOLICITATION NO. N68335-03-R-0093 on or about 13 June 2003. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/ . Click on the appropriate solicitation number then click on attachments if applicable. This procurement is for a Spreader, Drawing No. 627524-1, 1 Initial Production Unit and three option years as follows: Option 1 for 75 ea., Option 2 for 10 ea and Option 3 for 10 ea. The Spreader is a critical component of the Catapult Launch and Recovery System onboard Navy Ships. It is the principal link between the aircraft launch bar and the catapult itself. 1 ea. Initial Production Unit to be shipped to Lakehurst FOB Destination 100 days after date of contract award. This Initial Production unit will be sent to Lakehurst in an unpainted condition to be dimensionally inspected. Upon completion of inspection by the Government, the unit will then be returned to the contractor to be painted, and to undergo final inspection and acceptance by the Government at source. This unit will be shipped back to Lakehurst after inspection and acceptance at source. Government Furnished Material (GFM) will be supplied for the Initial Production Unit only, within 30 days after date of contract award. Preservation, Packaging and Packing for all units will be by the best commercial practice to ensure safe delivery to final destination. The Option Production Units will be shipped F.O.B, origin via Government Bill of Lading. Final destinations to be determined. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to the Export Control Laws, see note 8. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government, considering the factors of Past Performance and Price.
