CBSP Radome Repairs and Preservation

The Military Sealift Command Ship Support Unit San Diego (MSC SSU SD) hereby issues this sources sought notice to identify potential offerors in the San Diego, CA area to repair USNS MERCY's Radome. Interested offerors are requested to contact the contracting officer via email. Please provide CAGE Code, business size, and recommended NAICS code commensurate with the below statement of work (SOW). Interested offerors need to provide documentation of their experience with the repair processes mentioned in the SOW. 1. Statement of Work: 1.1 Provide the services of a contractor specialized in refurbishing radomes, including all labor, material, tools and equipment, to accomplish the following... 1.1.1 Receive replacement radome (GFP) from SPAWAR. 1.1.2 Under the supervision of the MSC Rep and SPAWAR, conduct repairs to the "spaceglass" minor damage, preserve radome with aliphatic urethane to match the white hull color of the USNS Mercy and provide shipboard support to seal dome from environmental conditions. Contractor must have experience in applying aliphatic urethane and well versed with "space glass" (fiberglass honeycomb core) to minimize the attenuation of the electromagnetic signals transmitted or received by the CBSP antenna. 1.1.3 Upon completion of repairs and preservation, contact the MSC Rep to arrange shipping of the radome to the USNS Mercy. 2.
