66 -- Optical Measuring Microscope for Quantitative Fractography Investigations

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with BDS Technologies Inc. 385 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355 for the procurement of a NIKON MM-40 Integrated Optical Measuring Microscope system to perform Quantitative Fractography work in support of the NAVAIR Corrosion-Fatigue program. Procurement will include necessary accessories and equipment required to meet the customer’s specifications. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10 USC, 2304(c)(2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. While this notice of intent is for information purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this requirement, and may submit information, which shall be considered by the NAWCAD. The Government retains the right not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 333314.
