Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract for Leupold day optics repair and refurbishment of Day Optics.

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to Leupold & Stevens Incorporated, 14400 NW Greenbrier Parkway, Beaverton OR 97006-5790 for the refurbishment of approximately 180 Leupold Day Optics. Approximately 180 existent Leupold day optics are to be returned to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Leupold & Stevens Incorporated, for refurbishment to conversion from OEM Part Numbers: 60150, 60170, 67920 or 57055 to a single USMC configuration, OEM Part Number 112633. This effort will provide the required quantity for PM Optics to use as collimator sighting optics. The scope of work for this task shall be to assess, refurbish, inspect and return systems to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany. The OEM is the only one authorized to repair the Leupold optics. The estimated magnitude of the contract value is Not to Exceed $90,000.00. Period of performance required is within 90 days after contract award.
