Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Optical Systems Technology, Inc. for the purchase of 11 Magnum Universal Night Sight AN/PVS-27 (MUNS) with Gen-3 1600 FOM (exportable).

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to Optical Systems Technology, Inc., 110 Kountz Lane, Freeport, PA 16229 for the purchase of 11 each Magnum Universal Night Sight AN/PVS-27 (MUNS) with Gen-3 1600 FOM (exportable) Image Tube Technology, P/N 55837-E. The AN/PVS-27 Magnum Universal Night Sight (MUNS) is a high-resolution clip-on night vision weapon sight that mounts on any MIL-STD-1913 rail interface forward of an existing scope, adding night vision capabilities to daytime target acquisition platforms. The unit can be mounted on a spotting scope for long range reconnaissance, hand-held as a Night Observation Device (NOD), or used in other night-time operations requiring night vision capabilities. The MUNS will be procured as a Foreign Military Sale item for exportation. The estimated magnitude of the purchase order value is approximately $143,000.00.
