Description of the item/service: Deployable Automated Cargo Measurement System (DACAM) provides an automated system to electronically weigh and measure cargo for deployments. The system will automatically calculate the center of balance and cube data for each piece of cargo. The dimensional information and weights for cargo data is consolidated in MAGTF Deployment Support System II (MOSS II) and transmitted to load planning systems such as Integrated Computerized Deployment System (CODES) and Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) in support of creating ship and air load plans. DACAM provides the automated capability to interface with MOSS II to capture dimensional data and weights to improve unit baseline garrison database data which is used in deliberate planning, OPLAN development, and deployment execution support reducing user error associated with manual data collection. Set-up and training of the item are included. Approximate dollar value of the award is in $128,000 increments. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror’s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider all EOIs received prior to 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis before 1200 PST on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
