Intent to Sole Source to Barefoot CNC

The 145th Airlift Wing Contracting office intends to award a sole source contract to Barefoot CNC for (2) Haas Automation, Inc. pieces of equipment, a vertical machining center and CNC lathe. Barefoot CNC will provide Mastercam computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software for these pieces of equipment, to include training and maintenance agreement. Barefoot holds the proprietary rights to the system and are the only authorized distributor for this product in this region. Please note this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product listed above. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice.
