36--PROTOTYPE 5.56MM SPEED STRIP CLIPPING MACHINE FOR DIXON 5.56MM SEPARATER/ALIGNER

This is a Notice of Intent to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the purchase of a 5.56mm Speed Strip Clipping machine for a Dixon 5.56mm ammunition separator/aligner. This is a follow-on acquisition and due to the unique nature of the product, only one qualified supplier, Dixon Automatic Tool Inc., Rockford, IL, is capable of supplying this product in compliance with Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) specifications. Any purchase order will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
