The 802nd Contracting Squadron at Lackland AFB, TX intends to award a Sole Source contract to USA Mobility Wireless, INC., 6850 VERSAR CENTER STE 420, Springfield, Virginia, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for a Pager Lease Agreement for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with USA Mobility Wireless, INC., on a sole source basis as USA Mobility Wireless, INC. already has equipment set up at Wilford Hall Medical Center. The time required to install new equipment and to distribute new devices to staff would cause downtime which will pose an unacceptable amount of danger to the lives of the patients. The NAICS Code is 517210 and the small business standard size is $25M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Proposals must be received not later than 12PM CST 3 (three) days after the posting of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
