31 Jan 2008: The following clarification is provided regarding SOFARS 5652.214-9001, Instructions on Completing Standard Form (33, 26 or 1449) Solicitation, Offer and Award (2005), paragraph (b) (reference page 69 of 77). The entire offer should not be sent electronically to the address shown in Block 8 of the SF 33. The intent is for the SF 33 submission (1 page) to be electronically sent to the address in Block 8 (10C). Amendment 2, now posted to FBO, changes the wording for 5652.214-9001, paragraph b, as follows: (b) In addition to the instructions starting at page 56 of 77, L.1 GENERAL PROPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS, send a copy of the SF 33 electronically to the address in Block 10C of the SF33. Offerors may return the acknowledged copy of the SF 30 via email to the address in Block 10C of the SF33. USSOCOM desires to acquire through full and open competition, a highly reliable, effective and lightweight binocular helmet mounted fusion goggle system capable of successfully operating in a variety of weather and environmental conditions. The lightweight helmet mounted fusion goggles (LWF-HMG) will be developed and produced in two (2) phases, Systems Integration and System Demonstration. The resultant product at each stage will be capable of successfully operating and providing the operator with a reliable helmet mounted fusion goggle enabling him to detect and engage targets in both the visible/near infrared (VIS/NIR) image intensification (I2 channels) and the long wave infrared (IR channel) wave lengths.
