Repair and Preventative Maintenance for Mettler Toledo Brand Name Meat Wrapping Systems and Scales

This announcement is posted as a notification of the Defense Commissary Agency's intent to enter into a sole source contract extension under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements," to Mettler Toledo, LLC. A modification will be issued for the continuation of repair and preventative maintenance on Mettler Toledo brand name meat wrapping systems and scales located at 86 commissaries in the Continental United States (CONUS) to include Alaska and Hawaii. Modification will extend the contract for six (6) months with performance period beginning March 1, 2018 through August 31, 2018. The associated North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219 with a size standard of $20.5 million. This sources sought synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government requests all responsible sources respond to this notice in writing including details of your ability to provide this service to all locations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This determination will be based upon the responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be submitted within (15) calendar days of publication of this notice.
