A -- Development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computations Structural Dynamics (CSD) codes and evolutionary design methods

THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) seeks potential sources in the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computations Structural Dynamics (CSD) codes and evolutionary design methods, to develop fast running Personal Computer (PC) based vulnerability assessment and blast mitigation design tools. This effort will include integration of an existing PC based CFD code into a fast running vulnerability assessment code and computational support for calculating blast environment in and around structures. Potential sources should be able to demonstrate the development of technologies to assist in the prediction of blast effects on structures. Additional focus areas will include development of blast mitigation techniques; development of bombing forensic techniques; and development of building response algorithms and software for assisting in the design of blast-resistant structures. The focus on proactive approaches to security of structural systems and infrastructure systems is also required. Sources sought responses shall reflect corporate information and a capability summary reflecting experience related to the above areas. Responses are to be limited to no more than five pages. Company information should include qualifications and experience in work of this nature, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, CAGE code, DUNS Number, business size, and small business classification (8(a), HUBZone, etc.), if applicable. Any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice is strictly voluntary. This synopsis is for information planning purposes and the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted.
