Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for Information Technology Management & Analysis

This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to award a sole source, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. This contract will be awarded to Colsa Corporation, 6728 Odyssey Drive, Huntsville, AL 35802, to provide uninterrupted support and continuity within the MDA Chief Information Officer (CIO) community. This effort is currently being performed under contract number HQ0147-11-D-0005 which expires on 7 March 2017. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541712 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The resultant contract for these advisory and assistance services will be for a base period of six months with two three-month option periods. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a "bridge" contract which is necessary to allow for continuity of critical contractor services until a competitive contract is awarded under the Technical Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support (TEAMS) acquisition strategy. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
