Description
The D. C. Courts Family Court Operations is soliciting resumes, and supplemental information from qualified applicants to provide defense based social work services to parents involved in the child welfare system and to assist families in addressing issues that often lead to family separation. As a part of the Court Improvement Program (CIP), the D. C. Courts Family Preservation Program social workers will work as part of the legal defense team, adhering to the Rules of Professional Conduct regarding attorney-client privilege and confidentiality. The mission of the District of Columbia Court Improvement Program is to work collaboratively with the D.C. Child and Family Services Agency and other stakeholders to improve outcomes in the areas of safety, permanency and well-being for children and families in the child welfare system.
