The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a sole source award to Verizon Wireless for "Verizon Wireless Service for 90 cell phones and 105 Verizon Blackberrys". This notice is per FAR citation 6.302-1. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for services on CDMA technology cell phones. These phones have been previously purchased from the service provider Verizon Wireless. Currently, Verizon Wireless is the only provider for these services at the BEP. If the Bureau were to purchase service from another provider, the BEP would be required to purchase new mobile phones.
