Technical, Professional, and Scientifice Services for the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity.

This opportunity is available only to contractors under GSA Federal Supply Schedule 874 (MOBIS) under Special Item Number (SIN) 874-1, Consulting Services This project will require the support services of professional consultants in technical, professional and scientific support to the The Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The project consists of a base year with core and optional tasks, and three optional years, each with core and optional tasks for nutrition, physical activity and obesity programs that address the priorities, strategies, and focus areas required and are aligned with the approaches and efforts of the Division. It is anticipated that services received under this request will help identify best practices, increase understanding of environmental design solutions that are healthy and nuturing, improve maternal care practices, increase evidence based material, identify needs and increase access to healthy food options, reduce consumption of sugar sweetened beverages, increase opportunities for daily physical activity, improve and increase communications and policies that promote nutrition, physical activity and obesity and that result in adoption of key behavioral changes in diet and physical activity in various settings, and applied in various levels among varied populations that work to prevent and control obesity and other chronic diseases. This is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. The solicitation will be issued to selected vendors in accordance with FAR 8.405 ordering procedures. Period of Performance: Up to 24 months from date of award.
